Now you are wondering how I make these cute ceramics, aren't you? Let me tell you right away.

First of all, I choose my beautiful clays. I usually prefer those that are suitable for a cream-colored base. I knead them well and remove the air so that they don't crack when fired.

I actually work a little freely in the shaping part. I either make the cups by kneading them with my hands, then they have a more organic look, like a slightly wrinkled look. Or sometimes I create a cylindrical base on the wheel and then press and pull it with my hand to give it that unique shape. In other words, I add a different character to all of them. I usually make the plates with the slab technique, I cut them round and make them suitable for the cups.

Then I wait for them to dry thoroughly. This is a matter of patience, you shouldn't rush. After they dry, there is the first firing, we call it biscuit. I put them in the oven and fire them well, so the clay hardens and is ready for glazing.

The glazing part is my favorite! I use a special glazing technique to get that spotted look. I add different colored oxides into the glaze, I really like brown and blue tones. Then I cover the cups and plates with this glaze.

And finally, the glaze firing! This happens at a higher temperature. In the kiln, the glaze melts and sticks to the ceramics, creating that shiny, speckled look. When they come out of the kiln, they are all different and special.
